Karnataka Association of Canberra, also referred to as KAC is a non-profit organization primarily aimed at networking for Kannadigas in Australian Capital Territory. It is incorporated in Canberra, Australia. KAC was founded in 2004, after Kannada speaking community leaders of the time envisioned a bright future for the Kannadigas of Canberra. On November 2010 KAC is a registered association, where office-bearers were elected.
The organization host numerous festival events, ceremonies and excursion throughout the year. KAC has history of celebrating these events with pomp and glamour and dedicated to members of KAC. Census 2016 data revealed that Indian population in Australia and revealed different Indian languages spoken in Australia and Kannada is one among the top listed. Through this new website, we hope to get our message out to these large number of audience of people interested in similar interests.
